This demo was created for the #344 Articulate E-Learning Challenge. The task for this challenge was to integrate a learning journal to keep learners engaged and focused by inviting them to reflect on what they had just learned.
I was first searching for an idea to include a learning journal. A learning journal becomes especially useful when the learning goal is about changing behavior. The learner will reflect on the current actions and actions that must be taken to change a certain behavior.
An article from The Fabulous gave me the idea to create the training to foster inclusion and boost productivity.
As the course focuses on inclusion, I was looking for both modern and vibrant illustrations, which brought me to Blush, where I found the collection croods. Once I had the structure and the illustrations, I started to build a prototype with Figma.
After I completed the layout, I created the different illustrations, shapes, and icons with Affinity Designer and brought everything together in Articulate Storyline.
The challenging part was the option to download the given answers as a PDF at the end of the course. There are alternative solutions to achieve this, but it’s a bit challenging to make it easy to use and influence the look and feel of the PDF.
After some research, I decided to go with the print.js framework, making it possible to use an HTML template. I will definitely do a more in-depth tutorial on how to use print.js within Storyline in the future.
